About Feeling Good Whole Health

At Feeling Good Whole Health we specialize in helping people in emotional distress.  We can offer relief for problems of depression, anxiety, relationship hurt, life frustration, and emotional pain and turmoil. We are a group of psychologists, marriage family therapists, clinical social workers, and interns who are trained in a process-based approach called TEAM-CBT, a framework developed by David Burns, MD, for practicing more effective cognitive and behavioral methods.

The center was first established in 2014 as a training and practice center for TEAM-CBT.  From that effort, Feeling Good Whole Health evolved to include a purposeful incorporation of the health of the brain and body in its psychotherapeutic approach.  Additionally, to our clients who request the additional dimension of faith, we have clinicians who will address aspects of  spirituality.

The center offers clients to work with a group of multi-disciplinary professionals in psychology, psychiatry, nutrition, and fitness to develop a comprehensive and balanced course of psychotherapy.

Our Approach

The process of psychotherapy at Feeling Good Whole Health includes evaluating your mental state and daily habits of caring for your physical health.  This initial meeting involves an extensive interview and some questionnaires.

Therapy begins at the beginning and basically goes on until the goals of therapy are met.  Our approach is problem-focused, rather than supportive only.  We even go so far as to check with each of our clients their measure of how each session of therapy goes for them in order to maximize the effectiveness of therapy.

Therapy is only helpful as far as the help is wanted.  Our approach respects the client’s position, challenges, and values.  Together, sometimes therapist and client discover that change is needed, but sometimes we also find that it’s not the season for change, but for acceptance.

Diversity Statement

We care about the whole body and recognize that an individual is an incredible, unique sum of aspects that include age, country of origin, culture, ethnicity, color, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, faith, disability, socioeconomic status, and language, as well as hidden stories and traumas that can be hard to share. It is vital that we practice the skill of listening, adopt an attitude of learning, and act, hoping as we have never hoped before that change can happen for the sake of our present and future.
